To us, art is not just a hobby or a pass time activity. It is our way of creative expression, hope, and help. The ArtHealth Initiative is an organization fostering creative expression for anyone who may struggle emotionally, cognitively, or physically. We believe that art can bring peace to all individuals who are in the dark times of their lives and provide a way for someone to paint emotions they may not be able to explicitly express.
Our mission is to donate original student-drawn coloring sheets to facilities all across New Jersey in order to promote art to all groups of people, not just adolescents. We have partnered with NAHS students and young artists to bring unique coloring sheets for all the diverse groups who may receive them. Besides helping the community, young artists will get the chance to spread their work and gain recognition for their art.

"As someone who grew up with English as a second language, art has been my way of expressing myself when I could not with words. I believe art can be a comfort to anyone and through AHI, I hope to inspire and help, one coloring page at a time."
"Being a first-generation American with immigrant parents, I found it difficult to connect with those around me due to the vast difference in our cultural upbringings. Art, however, gave me a voice that extended those boundaries. Through AHI, I hope to change people's lives the way art changed mine."
